And behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow. A crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.
The first energy to ride out of the opened seals is the mind's own drive to master its world. White is the untested purity of thought before experience stains it, and the rider carries a bow, an intention that fires desire toward a distant mark it cannot yet touch.

ESOTERIC
The first energy to ride out of the opened seals is the mind's own drive to master its world. White is the untested purity of thought before experience stains it, and the rider carries a bow, an intention that fires desire toward a distant mark it cannot yet touch. The crown is not earned but given, the automatic authority the reasoning self assumes over the body it inhabits.
This is the conquering appetite that goes out and keeps going, taking one aim only to reach for the next, never resting in what it has already won. In plain words, the part of a person that always wants more and calls that wanting victory.
White horse: the untried mind at full power, bright and moving before life has marked it Bow: the aim of desire that launches toward a target far off and never arrives Crown: the authority the thinking self takes over its own flesh without having earned it

What have I already won that I have never once stopped to enjoy?
There is no greater misfortune than not knowing when you have enough. The one who knows contentment is already rich, while the one who keeps reaching stays poor no matter what he takes.
Suffering is born of craving, the thirst that cannot be satisfied by getting what it wants, because each satisfaction only teaches the thirst a new direction.
It is not the poor man who has little, but the man who wants more. Every conquest you make simply moves the finish line further out, so the race is designed never to end.
