Romans 1:3 Meaning Concerning His Son

concerning his Son, who was born of the offspring of David according to the flesh,

What does Romans 1:3 mean?

The higher self enters a person through the physical line, taking on the body before it rises above it. David means the beloved, and his seed according to the flesh is the descent of the Christ-consciousness into material birth, clothed in blood and bone as every awakening must be at its start.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

The higher self enters a person through the physical line, taking on the body before it rises above it. David means the beloved, and his seed according to the flesh is the descent of the Christ-consciousness into material birth, clothed in blood and bone as every awakening must be at its start. The seed is the germ carried in the flesh, the point where spirit takes root in matter, so the divine nature comes first through the earthly channel, made of the beloved line, wearing the body of David.

Within a person the pattern is that the inner Christ does not begin as pure spirit but is first formed in the flesh, born through the material nature before it is declared by the higher power.

Live Romans 1:3 today

  1. Do one plain physical thing with your full attention today, washing a dish, climbing the stairs, folding laundry. Whatever is growing in you has to grow through this body and this hour, not past them.
  2. Say one encouraging sentence to a family member about where they came from, your shared last name, a grandparent's stubbornness. The ordinary line you were born into is the channel, not the obstacle.
  3. When something in you feels too unfinished to count yet, a skill, a change, a steadiness, let it be unfinished and keep going. Everything that ends up high started out small and mostly hidden.

What in you is still being formed quietly, before anyone can see it?

Zen

Zen says the enlightened life is carrying water and chopping wood, the same chores as before. The awakening does not arrive somewhere else, it arrives in the hands you already have.

Taoism · Tao Te Ching 64

A journey of a thousand miles begins where your foot is now, and a great tree starts as something small enough to hold. Nothing high begins high.

Hinduism · the avatara teaching

The tradition holds that the divine descends into flesh and is born through an ordinary lineage, growing up in a body like anyone else. The descent into matter is the beginning of the story, not a detour from it.
