What does Romans 1:4 mean?

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The Son of God is declared, not by ancestry or good conduct, but by a resurrection, and the resurrection is an awakening that happens within your own skull. Golgotha, the place of the skull, is the ground where this whole drama begins and ends. What rises there is your own imagination waking to what it is, and that waking is the only proof of sonship the passage will accept.

With power means the awakening carries authority. The one who wakes knows himself to be the cause of his world, the spirit of holiness being his own creative imagining set apart for this. Nothing outside conferred the title. A man is shown to be the Son of God at the moment the dreamer inside him stops dreaming he is merely a man and stands up as the power that has been producing every scene all along.

Live Romans 1:4 today

  1. Sit for two minutes with your phone face down and no music, and ask yourself quietly who is doing the looking out of your eyes. Do not answer in words, just stay with the question.
  2. Next time someone talks about themselves as if they are stuck being one kind of person, listen without correcting them, and inwardly hold them as already free of it.
  3. When a deadline or an argument starts running you, pause long enough to feel that you are the one watching the pressure rather than the pressure itself, then speak from there.

If I woke up today as the one behind my own life, what would I stop apologizing for?

Upanishads · Chandogya

The self you are looking for is not out beyond the stars. That which holds the whole world is the same thing seated in your own heart, and knowing this is the only waking there is.

Zen

Enlightenment adds nothing and comes from nowhere outside. A person simply wakes to the face they had before anything was born, and nobody can hand that over to them.

Taoism · Chuang Tzu

A man dreamed he was a butterfly, then woke and could not say which one was dreaming the other. The question dissolves the moment you see who was doing the dreaming.
