My sister, my bride, is a locked up garden; a locked up spring, a sealed fountain.

Song of Solomon 4:12 · World English Bible
My sister, my bride, is a locked up garden; a locked up spring, a sealed fountain.
Within you there is a sanctuary the world has never entered, an enclosed garden where noise cannot reach. It is a sealed fountain, a source of stillness that no circumstance can drain and no person can take.
From the Ego v. Being reading below.
The same verse, read by 2 traditions.

EGO & BEING
Within you there is a sanctuary the world has never entered, an enclosed garden where noise cannot reach. It is a sealed fountain, a source of stillness that no circumstance can drain and no person can take.
Most people live at the surface and never suspect this depth is there. Yet the moment you become still and turn your attention inward, past the endless commentary of the mind, the fountain is unsealed. You drink from your own aliveness, and you find that the peace you were seeking was within you all along.

ESOTERIC
The enclosed garden is the right hemisphere, the garden of Eden inside the head, still shut because the divine birth held within it has not yet come. It is the sealed ground where the Christ-child waits unborn, the higher chamber closed over its own unopened potential, kept rather than deprived.
The spring shut up and the fountain sealed are that same birthing power dammed at its source, held under seal so nothing leaks away before its hour. What is sealed is being saved, the whole life within the garden kept intact until the divine thing enclosed there is finally born. The closing is not a lack but a keeping, the inner Eden guarded so its unopened birth can one day open.
Garden: the right hemisphere, the garden of Eden within the head, sealed over an unborn divine birth Spring: the birthing power of the inner life, shut up so it is kept rather than spent Fountain: the same source held under seal, guarding the unopened potential until it is born
Ego v. Being lens
Have you been looking for peace in a place that cannot hold it?
Return to the root and be still. Everything noisy rises and falls, and the quiet place underneath holds.
In the small space within the heart there is a vastness, and all of the sky is contained in it.
People look for quiet places in the country or by the sea, but you can retreat into yourself at any hour, and nowhere is quieter.
