MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The whole world walks in a single long forgetting. Every man is the Father asleep, dreaming he is small and mortal, having lost all memory of who he really is. Saul is that sleep given a name. The voice he hears is not accusing him of hurting some stranger down the road; the "me" being persecuted is his own buried life, the sonship dozing inside him, the divine identity he has been trampling by refusing to remember it.

That cry begins the cure. The forgetting cracks, and memory starts its long return. Following the inner "I am" as the road forward, he walks straight into the discovery that he himself is the Father he had been looking for. The man persecuted and the man persecuting were always one sleeper waking up.

  1. Catch one of those lines you say about yourself out of habit, the one that makes you small. Say it out loud, hear how old it sounds, and let it go unfinished.
  2. When someone does something that annoys you today, pause before reacting. Whatever you're swinging at out there, some of it is aimed at a part of yourself you'd rather not meet.
  3. If you get knocked flat by news or a hard conversation, don't scramble to get up right away. Sit in it a minute and ask what it's trying to wake you out of.

What part of me have I been walking over to keep the story simple?
