Genesis 1:12 Meaning The Earth Yielded Grass
The earth yielded grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with their seeds in it, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:12 · World English Bible
The earth yielded grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with their seeds in it, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.
The mind brings forth its own growth from within, each thing carrying its own self-generating power, the seed already inside itself. The tree that yields fruit is the spine, the trunk of the body up which the living force rises, and it needs nothing from outside to bear because the seed of its increase is in it already.

ESOTERIC
The mind brings forth its own growth from within, each thing carrying its own self-generating power, the seed already inside itself. The tree that yields fruit is the spine, the trunk of the body up which the living force rises, and it needs nothing from outside to bear because the seed of its increase is in it already. Everything a person grows toward is grown from within the mind, not handed down from above.
And the closing word carries the whole lesson about the divine. Good is the original, fuller word; the word men worship as God is only good with the o dropped out. There is no separate being standing over creation and approving it. There is only the word itself, reduced, and the mind quietly finding its own unfolding sufficient.
Earth: the mind, the ground where every growth is generated Tree: the spine, the trunk of the body up which the living force rises Seed: the self-generating power a thing carries within itself, needing nothing from outside

What am I waiting to be given that I already carry?
No one saves you but you. The teachers point the way; the walking is yours, and the capacity to walk was in you from the start.
Things grow of themselves when nothing interferes. The Tao gives rise to them and then lets them be, which is why real growth never needs managing from outside.
The teaching says you are already what you are looking for, like someone riding an ox while searching for an ox. The seed was never elsewhere.
