John 14:3 Meaning If I Go and Prepare a Place
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.

John 14:3 · World English Bible
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
There is a part of the mind that has already remembered its innocence, and it does not leave the rest behind. It returns to whatever in the mind still sleeps and holds a place open, so that the whole mind might stand where it already stands and know the reunion was never in doubt.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
There is a part of the mind that has already remembered its innocence, and it does not leave the rest behind. It returns to whatever in the mind still sleeps and holds a place open, so that the whole mind might stand where it already stands and know the reunion was never in doubt.
The promise of coming again is not a delay across time. It is the certainty that no fragment of the mind can be abandoned, because minds joined in truth cannot be divided. Where love has arrived, every part it loves must finally be, for they were never truly apart.
Home: the state of mind that has never left its Source, the wholeness the mind returns to rather than reaches.

EGO & BEING
Do not imagine a place far away, a mansion waiting somewhere after death. The place he prepares is not a spot in space or time. It is the inner room of presence, the spaciousness of Being that opens up behind your thoughts.
When he says he will come again and receive you, he speaks of the way presence returns to you the moment you awaken from the dream of thinking. And where he is, there you may be also, for he points not to a distant heaven but to the aliveness of this moment. The place is being made ready in you right now, and you enter it not by dying, but by becoming fully present to the life already here.

MANIFESTATION
The place prepared is no room above. It is an inner state, a settled feeling of being the person you want to be, made ready in imagination before you ever occupy it. Awareness goes ahead into that state, furnishes it, makes it a place already standing, then returns to gather you into it.
"Where I am, there ye may be also" names the whole law. The I AM, your own awareness of being, is always somewhere, always assuming some state, and you live from wherever it has settled. The state prepared within by feeling it as done is the state life carries into its outer form. The going and the coming again are one movement inside a single person: the self that assumes the wish, and the self that wakes to find it fulfilled.
Christian Psychology lens
Who am I quietly leaving behind, and what would it look like to hold their place?
The vow of compassion is not to reach freedom alone but to stay until everyone is through. Awakening that leaves someone behind is not yet complete.
All of Israel is responsible for one another. No one's wholeness is finished while another's is missing.
The sea does not reject any river. Whatever flows toward it arrives, and nothing is turned away at the edge.
