John 6:41 Meaning The Jews Therefore Murmured Concerning Him

The Jews therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, “I am the bread which came down out of heaven.”

What does John 6:41 mean?

I Am. These are the two most sacred words, the bread that truly nourishes, because they point to the aware presence that you are beneath your name and your story.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

I Am. These are the two most sacred words, the bread that truly nourishes, because they point to the aware presence that you are beneath your name and your story. This is what came down from heaven, meaning it did not arise from the world of form. It is the formless in you.

They murmured because they knew only the man before them, a familiar face, the son of a known father. The mind can grasp form alone, so it stumbles when the formless speaks. But the life that sustains you is not one more object to consume. It is the still awareness within you, and recognizing it is what truly feeds you.

  1. Sit for two minutes and feel the plain sense of being you, before any job title, any role, any name. That is older than all of it.
  2. Meet someone familiar today, a partner, a coworker, your own kid, as if you had not already decided who they are.
  3. When you catch yourself dismissing an idea because of who said it, set the person aside for a moment and hear the thing itself.

Who have I filed away so completely that I can no longer hear them?

The way that can be named is not the lasting way. What is most real slips through every label the mind tries to put on it.
