CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

Clinical Psychology

Courage is commanded, not wished for, because it is the precondition of inheriting anything worth having. Joshua stands at the edge of a promised land he still has to fight for. The promise does not spare him the danger. It gives him a reason to walk into the danger anyway.

What your fathers were sworn is not handed over while you tremble at the border. You have to cross. A man receives his inheritance by making himself strong enough to claim it, and the strength has to come before the certainty. Step forward first. The ground firms under those who move.

Live Joshua 1:6 today

  1. Take the thing you have been researching instead of starting and do fifteen real minutes of it today. Ready is something you become partway in, not before.
  2. Ask for the thing you have wanted to ask for, the raise, the help, the conversation. Say it plainly to the person who can answer, and let the answer be theirs.
  3. When the meeting turns and you have the unpopular point, say it before you have talked yourself out of it. The ground firms for the person who speaks first.

What are you waiting to feel sure about before you move?

Arjuna is told to stand up and do the work in front of him rather than wait for the fear to pass. The duty is not suspended until he feels ready for it.
