Luke 20:35 · World English Bible
But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.
To marry is to bind your sense of being to a condition, to fasten the words "I am" onto some state and call that fastening yourself. A poor man weds poverty; a fearful man weds his fear.
From the Manifestation reading below.
The same verse, read by one tradition.

MANIFESTATION
To marry is to bind your sense of being to a condition, to fasten the words "I am" onto some state and call that fastening yourself. A poor man weds poverty; a fearful man weds his fear. He wakes inside the thing he joined himself to, and lives from it, and calls it his life. Awakening ends that.
The risen self still enters states, but no longer fuses to them. Each condition becomes a garment the inner being puts on and takes off at will, worn and set aside without being trapped inside the cloth. He wears wealth without becoming a rich man, wears sorrow without becoming a mourner. That is what it means to be past marriage. The awakened one is never again given away to a state, because he knows he is the one who does the wearing.
Manifestation lens
Which condition in your life have you quietly started answering to as your name?
The self puts on and lays aside bodies and conditions the way a person changes clothes. What wears the garment is never the garment.
The teaching is to be the host, not the guest. Moods and circumstances arrive like visitors at the door, and the one who greets them does not have to move out of the house.
You are an actor given a role, poor man or rich man, lame man or governor. Play it well, but do not confuse the costume with the one who was handed it.
