Mark 2:10 · World English Bible
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic—
The power to forgive is not held in some far heaven but here, within the awakened Self while it still walks the earth. This is what the doubting mind most needs to learn, that release from guilt is not deferred to another world but available now, in the very place where guilt seemed so real.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The power to forgive is not held in some far heaven but here, within the awakened Self while it still walks the earth. This is what the doubting mind most needs to learn, that release from guilt is not deferred to another world but available now, in the very place where guilt seemed so real. The Son of man is the mind that has remembered its true nature, and that remembrance carries with it the authority to overlook every wrong the dream reports.
Forgiveness, then, is not a plea sent upward and awaited. It is a power already given, exercised the instant a mind chooses to see innocence where it had seen offense.
Son of man: the awakened Self while still within the world, the mind that has remembered its nature and carries the power to release guilt where guilt seemed real Sick of the palsy: the condemned mind toward which that power is turned, waiting to be told it is already free

What am I waiting for permission to let go of?
The practice is not to earn awakening somewhere else but to recognize that this very mind, in this very place, is already the thing you were looking for. Nothing is withheld until later.
The way is not far off in some high place. It is under your feet, in the ordinary ground where you already stand.
What lies in your power is your own judgment, and it lies there right now. No one needs permission from heaven or from anyone else to stop condemning.
