Matthew 24:2 · World English Bible
But he answered them, “You see all of these things, don’t you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.”
The whole structure of outward religion built stone by stone in a person will be pulled down so that nothing of the merely external remains standing. The temple here is the body seen as a built thing, and its stones are the fixed beliefs and rituals and forms the mind has stacked over a lifetime, each resting on the last.

ESOTERIC
The whole structure of outward religion built stone by stone in a person will be pulled down so that nothing of the merely external remains standing. The temple here is the body seen as a built thing, and its stones are the fixed beliefs and rituals and forms the mind has stacked over a lifetime, each resting on the last. Every one is thrown down because the true dwelling of spirit is not a construction of doctrine at all; it is the living awareness within, which no external edifice can house. When the false temple falls, what stood behind it, the kingdom already inside, is what remains.
What sounds like a ruined building foretold is the collapse of every outward form of belief so that the inner life alone is left.
The temple: the body and the structure of outward religion, built up as a thing of stone The stones: the fixed beliefs and rituals stacked one upon another, each thrown down until nothing external stands

What am I still propping up only because I have been propping it up for years?
The raft that carried you across the river is meant to be left at the bank. Carry it on your back out of gratitude and it becomes the thing that slows you.
Whatever is assembled is laid aside like a worn garment, while the self that wore it was never made and cannot be destroyed. Only the built thing falls.
The way forward is subtraction, not addition. You arrive by letting things fall away until what was always there is no longer buried.
