Matthew 25:4 · World English Bible
but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
The wise mind understands that awareness must be fed from within, and so it gathers oil in its own vessel, carrying the source of the light and not merely the light's container. This is the mind that has done the unseen work, that does not depend on the moment to supply what only preparation can hold.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The wise mind understands that awareness must be fed from within, and so it gathers oil in its own vessel, carrying the source of the light and not merely the light's container. This is the mind that has done the unseen work, that does not depend on the moment to supply what only preparation can hold. Its readiness is not borrowed or performed but stored quietly where no one else can see it.
To carry oil in one's own vessel is to take responsibility for one's own willingness, to keep the inner reserve that lets the light endure when the hour grows long. Love finds a welcome not in the mind that looks prepared but in the one that has, in private, made itself so.
Oil: the inner willingness that keeps awareness alive, the reserve of consent gathered ahead of need. Vessels: the mind's own inner keeping, the private place where readiness is held and made its own. Lamps: the light of awareness, sustained by the willingness stored within.
Christian Psychology lens
What have you been expecting the moment to supply that only you can store up beforehand?
Gather your resources in calm weather. The storm does not create strength, it only reveals what you stored while nothing was happening.
What is great begins small, and what stands was built while it was still nothing much to look at. Tend it before it is needed.
The steady mind is built by repeated small returns, done alone and unobserved, so that it holds when the hour runs long.
