Matthew 26:30 · World English Bible
When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
The mount of Olives is a place in the head, the olive-shaped bodies at the base of the brain where the hypoglossal nerve rises, the elevated seat toward which energy climbs in a person. The singing that precedes the going is the raising of vibration, the tuned inner sound that lifts awareness before it ascends.

ESOTERIC
The mount of Olives is a place in the head, the olive-shaped bodies at the base of the brain where the hypoglossal nerve rises, the elevated seat toward which energy climbs in a person. The singing that precedes the going is the raising of vibration, the tuned inner sound that lifts awareness before it ascends. To go out into that mount is for the risen force to reach the high station in the skull, the same climb the whole crucifixion account encodes, the kundalini energy moving up the spine toward the crown.
What reads as an evening walk to a hillside is the movement of energy in the head, sound first lifting the vibration and then awareness rising to its high place within the brain.

What sound could raise me today instead of the noise I usually let in?
The sound OM is said to carry awareness through its stages up to the still place beyond them. The tone comes first, then the rising.
The whirling and the reed flute are not decoration. The sound tunes the body until the heart lifts and the dancer is no longer where they started.
Chanting steadies breath and mind together before any deeper stillness opens. The voice settles the instrument, then the quiet arrives.
