PSYCHOANALYSIS
New sight asks for silence, because growing into wholeness falls apart when it is shown to the crowd too soon. The old alchemists spoke of seeing with the eyes of understanding and imagination, a way of seeing hidden from ordinary eyes yet truer than any other. Think of a man who wakes from a dream that has changed something in him for good and tells no one until the knowledge settles into his body. The newly healed inner life must hold its fresh sight before the image of God within can take root and grow whole.

The one who knows does not announce it. Talking it all away is how the thing is lost.

Silence is the fence around wisdom. What is young in you needs a fence for a while.
