Proverbs 13:16 · World English Bible
Every prudent man acts from knowledge, but a fool exposes folly.
A mind that acts from what it truly knows, from the certainty of love beneath appearances, moves with a quiet steadiness that needs no display, because it is not defending anything. Knowledge here is not information but the settled recognition of what is real, and a mind grounded in it does not have to prove or perform.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
A mind that acts from what it truly knows, from the certainty of love beneath appearances, moves with a quiet steadiness that needs no display, because it is not defending anything. Knowledge here is not information but the settled recognition of what is real, and a mind grounded in it does not have to prove or perform. It simply extends what it is.
The mind still ruled by the ego cannot help but broadcast its confusion, spreading its fear and its judgments as though scattering them made them true. What it calls cleverness is only the noise of guilt looking for somewhere to land. The difference is not in intelligence but in teacher: love acts from certainty, and fear from a need to be seen.
Prudent man: the mind grounded in the certainty of love, acting from what it knows without need to prove or display. Fool: the mind ruled by the ego, scattering its fear and judgment outward as though display could make its confusion true.
Christian Psychology lens
Where am I talking to convince myself rather than to say something true?
True words are not showy and showy words are not true. The one who knows does not need to argue it.
Do not talk about your principles, live them, and let your behavior do the explaining. Sheep do not bring the shepherd grass to prove they ate.
A scholar comes to the master Nan-in full of his own learning, and the master keeps pouring tea into an already full cup. Nothing can be received until the cup is emptied.
