Proverbs 30:22 · World English Bible
For a servant when he is king, a fool when he is filled with food,
The mind fears the small self set on a throne, the part that was made to serve turned into a ruler, because it senses that separation has crowned the wrong teacher. When the ego reigns it feeds on grievance and calls itself full, mistaking the swelling of guilt for satisfaction.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The mind fears the small self set on a throne, the part that was made to serve turned into a ruler, because it senses that separation has crowned the wrong teacher. When the ego reigns it feeds on grievance and calls itself full, mistaking the swelling of guilt for satisfaction. What looks like an intolerable reversal is only the belief in littleness pretending to be strength.
The answer is not to pull down a tyrant but to remember which teacher truly leads. A mind that returns the crown to love finds the servant was never meant to rule, and the hunger it fed was for a fullness no grievance could give.
Servant: the part of the mind meant to follow love, which the ego lifts into false authority when it forgets its right place Fool: the mind that feeds on separation and mistakes the fullness of guilt for peace
Christian Psychology lens
What in me is loudest when it feels most threatened?
The mind is a good servant and a cruel master. Ruled, it carries you. Ruling, it drives you.
The one who cannot govern his own appetites has a tyrant living inside him, whatever his rank outside.
Mastering others takes force. Mastering yourself takes clarity, and the second is the real strength.
