Revelation 1:13 Meaning And Among the Lamp Stands Was One

And among the lamp stands was one like a son of man, clothed with a robe reaching down to his feet, and with a golden sash around his chest.

What does Revelation 1:13 mean?

The figure standing among the lights is the awakened self seated in the midst of the body's 7 energy centers, the candlesticks ranged along the spine from base to crown. Clothed to the foot means the light now reaches all the way down, filling the man completely from head to sole.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

The figure standing among the lights is the awakened self seated in the midst of the body's 7 energy centers, the candlesticks ranged along the spine from base to crown. Clothed to the foot means the light now reaches all the way down, filling the man completely from head to sole.

The golden band is bound not at the waist but at the breast, drawing the girdle up to the heart, for the ruling power in the awakened body is centered in love rather than in the lower appetites. Gold is the purified, incorruptible energy that binds the whole frame together at its highest working point.

The 7 candlesticks: the 7 energy centers set along the spine, each a lamp of the inner body. The garment down to the foot: the light of the risen self reaching from crown to sole, covering the whole man. The golden girdle: the purified, incorruptible energy bound at the heart, the ruling center of the awakened body. The paps: the breast, the seat of love where the power is now gathered instead of at the loins.

Live Revelation 1:13 today

  1. Put a hand on your chest for one minute sometime today and breathe there. It is a small thing and it moves the center of the day.
  2. In one exchange today, a text, a checkout line, a call with your mother, let kindness decide what you say rather than being right. Watch what it does to both of you.
  3. When you get cut off in traffic or cut off in a meeting, feel the heat go up and then answer from your chest instead of your throat. Steady, warm, not soft on the truth.

What in your life is currently being run by appetite that would be better run by love?

The heart center is given as the true seat of the self, and the higher work is to move the ruling place from the appetites up to there.

The sage governs from softness, not force, and softness turns out to be the stronger thing.

Buddhism

Warmth toward all beings is not a pleasant extra. It is taught as the training that organizes the whole mind.
