Revelation 12:11 · World English Bible
They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death.
They overcame the accusing voice, and notice how: not by fighting it, for the ego cannot defeat the ego. They overcame it because they loved not their lives unto death.
From the Ego v. Being reading below.
The same verse, read by 2 traditions.

EGO & BEING
They overcame the accusing voice, and notice how: not by fighting it, for the ego cannot defeat the ego. They overcame it because they loved not their lives unto death. They were willing to let the small self, the one built of memory and self-image, dissolve.
This is what surrender truly means. To love not your life in this way is not to despise your existence but to loosen your grip on the false self you have been defending. And when you stop defending the person you imagine yourself to be, the accusing voice has nothing left to hold on to, and it quietly loses its power over you.

SELF-HELP
A standard that still protects something will fold exactly where the protection begins.
Every person keeps one thing they will not risk, and that thing is the handle by which they get moved. The accuser works that handle, and it stops working on people who have already settled that their own survival is not the highest value in play.
Their overcoming rests on the Lamb's blood and runs through testimony spoken out loud, because saying it in front of others removes the quiet option of going along, and removing that option is what turns conviction into conduct. Holding one thing permanently off the table means every standard a person keeps has a price attached, and other people find that price before they do.
Ego v. Being lens
What are you still defending that was never really you?
Water yields and wears down stone. What does not fight is what cannot be defeated.
What is real in you was never born and cannot be destroyed. Hold to that and there is nothing left to be afraid of losing.
Stop defending the house you built out of your own name. When there is no wall left, there is nothing for an enemy to push against.
