What does Revelation 2:1 mean?

The 7 stars and the 7 golden candlesticks are the 7 chakras, the 7 nerve centers strung up the spine from base to head, each a light burning at its station. Ephesus is the lowest of them, the sacrum at the base, where the work of raising the energy begins.

The 7 stars and the 7 golden candlesticks are the 7 chakras, the 7 nerve centers strung up the spine from base to head, each a light burning at its station. Ephesus is the lowest of them, the sacrum at the base, where the work of raising the energy begins. The right hand that holds all 7 is the right hemisphere of the brain, the seat of the inner Christ; it is that side of the head, not any effort of will, that holds and charges the whole ladder of centers.

The one who walks in the midst of the candlesticks is the awakened power moving among these lights within a person, tending each center from the base of the spine to the crown.

7 stars: the 7 chakras, the nerve centers up the spine, each burning as a light 7 golden candlesticks: those same 7 centers seen as flames at their stations Right hand: the right hemisphere of the brain, the seat of Christ consciousness, holding the centers Ephesus: the sacrum at the base of the spine, the first center where the raising begins

Live Revelation 2:1 today

  1. Start with the lowest thing today, the chore you have been stepping over for a week. Begin at the bottom, and the rest of the day has somewhere to climb from.
  2. Give your full attention to the person everyone else overlooks: the cashier, the new hire, the quiet one in the group chat. The base of the ladder is where the light gets lit.
  3. When you are overwhelmed, do not reach for the big fix. Put your feet flat, do the single next small thing, and let the rest wait its turn.

What have I been trying to reach from the top when it has to be built from the bottom?

The same truth in other traditions

Hinduism · Yoga tradition

The raising begins at the base of the spine, not at the crown. The lowest center is where the dormant energy sleeps, and every ascent starts by waking it where it actually lies.

Zen

Awakening is not somewhere above your life. The teacher sends you back to sweeping the floor and sitting on your cushion, because the way up has always run through the ground you are standing on.

Taoism

A journey of a thousand miles begins beneath your feet. The grand thing is reached only by the small step directly in front of you, taken where you are.
